That pillow line encompasses my personal idea of the best in skiing. Props to Brett for nailing that and Summit, you did some great work with the image too. hope you guys get best photo award - what is that, lifetime pass to Silverton
my favorite photo is the long pillow line but for best photo, I gotta go with Meatdrink's huck in B&W.

Where are the fun photos? The pow, huck, and line shots made me go ooooh, but these ones put a huge smile on my face:

That being said, here's another ooooh photo, I totally dig. MD9 shot by GT40.

edit - doh! I'm not nominating this photo... I just read the post and not the thread title.

There are a ton of great photos in here and tons still to be added. CS had a killer pow shot/sequence of Xover earlier this season and I know I may be biased, but GT40 killed it with the photos all season. I also really like Punani's angle on the Hospital Air shot. I know Lynx, mtbakerskier, midget and others probably have some ridiculous stuff...if only they'd post it.There were also some sweet shots of fineline sending it, and DTM doing the same.
There are at least five No. 1 photos in this thread and 5-10 number 2s...here's one that belongs with them:

One of my faves. Not a great photo (from a technical perspective) but some pictures just make you want to pack your bags and get on a plane. This is one of 'em.
1. Kya (iskibc) ridge on Pyramid - shivers...
2. Blurred (Summit) at the Rockpile/Fang/Spiderman Cliffs (whatever you wanna call it) - excellent skiing and Summit made it look like Blurred skied the line at 40mph
3. MD9 (GT40) B&W - just a classic feel
Chocolate? This is doodoo, BABY!

1. GT40's shot of MD9 -- fantastic, atmospheric, beautiful, original
2. Squirrel's shot of the spread eagle bros BakerBoy & Zeedashbo -- '05-'06 in a can!
I can't understand why people are frightened of new ideas. I'm frightened of the old ones.
Not without some controversy between sparing photogs, but this one that was removed from an AstroPax thread earlier this year is still worthy. January 2006:

Shot of Funken at JHMR gets my vote. Absolutely amazing.
grizzle's pic of his line at solitude was one of the better pic's this year.
Blurred gets the "rip tha shit outta this" award.
md9, are you sure you like the aesthetics of your ski poles in that pic?![]()
