They open at 8:30 am and at that time it has still been a bit firm up top and in anything that is in the shade down low. The bumps have been going off till after 4pm up here as have some other great runs. Got wow wax?

Why don't you pm Bodhi for that motel room? I think the rate is something like $60/night (all in), this time of year...

For those wanting to camp. Do it.

Just spent 3 days camping and skiing at Mammoth. Fantastic weather, even better skiing and riding. We camped just to the east of the geothermal power plant. There are roads all over with plenty of camping. Head north at the first left to the east of 395 and follow the road. Plenty of camping within 1-3 miles of 395. There's alot of snow to the west of 395 where we've camped before. The hot tubs were all packed. It's fishing season. We were awake every morning before 7:AM and shorts and sweatshirt were all we needed. It's less than 10 minutes to bars, etc, 10 minutes to Hot Creek, 15 minutes to the other tubs, and 15-20 minutes to the Main Lodge.

    Our camp

The skiing was perfect spring and, as others have said, good right until 4:PM. We got to ride Chair 9, probably the best spring riding chair on the continent. It's now closed for the season . For those that like the gnarl, you'll be amazed at the Top of the World. I've never seen the top so filled in.

    Hangmans and MJB's

    Philippes-very sweet at 3:30 PM

    Edit to add photos.

So why did this end up coinciding w/ one of the first good south swells? I'll be leaving friday to surf Cojo on the Ranch (which ain't a bad thing). Guess i'll draw a on my finger and try and show up for a few drinks at Robertos on Thursday and give away a voucher. Oh well; I'll have to settle for a TR of the debauchry.
Gave up on the bottle, give me the lobotomy.

As I recall, your abode is in or next to the villiage. Which means the only thing your fearless driver will be doing Friday night is parking his ass on a barstool. Hmmmmm...as for Monique paying said driver back, the bouncer at Lakanuki did mention that only women are allowed to dance on the tables.

Ok, I have decided to make the trek down from Idaho. I just can't resist getting to ski Mammoth during the biggest recorded snow fall season in its history and meet up with more maggots. Should be interesting to see how much more it is filled in than I have ever seen it. It should be even more interesting to meet up with all you maggots for some skiing and what not.

Now to go write down some of the mini plans for the weekend so I can find you degernerate rippers.

Edit: Oh yeah, if I do actually make it to the main lodge by 8:30 can anyone hook me up with a coupon or comp pass?

If you had a nickel for every nickel he has, you would have a lot of fuckin' nickels!
