    It's My Birthday

Yes, today marks 33 years of good times and bad for me in this world. While I haven't suffered the loss and pain that some of you here have, I thought I'd take this opportunity to pass along my prayers and good vibes to all those who need it. This place has taught me a few lessons about life that I never thought I'd learn from the internet. Who knew? The heliskiing day for Altachic and Plakespear being one of those times. This place is truly remarkable.

I really don't know what I'm getting at - maybe I'm just rambling. I just thought I'd pass along my thanks to all of you for making life more enjoyable. Things for me have taken a turn for the better recently, what with a new job (special thanks to Schmear and Red Baron), a new car, a loving wife, a great home and a happy dog, I have a lot to be thankful for. And whether you know me or not, I feel like I know a lot of you.

Thanks for this place. Thanks for the laughs, the stoke, the criticism, the unflinching honesty, the NSFW posts, and above all, thanks for continuing to make our little place in the world more unique every day.

    Cheers!

    Enjoy your day (nice view).

Happy Birthday! Mine was two weeks ago yesterday. For the first time in a long time, I was with my family on my birthday, which was cool, but it was because my grandmother's funeral was the same day. Although from a celebratory viewpoint that's not ideal, being surrounded by many loved ones really made me reflect on how lucky I am to have such a great family. Seeing everyone pull together to support one another during a difficult time made me appreciate the people I am privileged to call friends and relatives that much more, and while it wasn't exactly a rockin' good time, it was in a weird way one of the best birthdays I ever had.

Dood, it's unusually nice to be thanking people on your own b-day.

Have a happy one, and thanks to you too!

I'm 2 years behind you, but I am equally grateful to have found a collection of individuals that I both respect and am endlessly entertained by daily. It's pretty tough to articulate after XtrPickels' classic epicski post to this extent, but I'll agree simply, this place is cool. The members are intelligent, well read, and I truly feel like I'm among people who interest me. Yay us. Happy birthday.

Happy Birthday! 33, good age I figure, the age Jesus was when he came out of the closet and let the world know he was actually the son of God......

Was my birthday yesterday too, turned 20. I guess I'll have to follow your example and thank some people too! So, thanks everybody!
