CH - Lots of moisture... rain

Damn!!! A lot of rain around lac leman over the last 24 hours! In Geneve some minor flooding along some country roads and water levels high in drainage ditches and streams.

Tooooo warm though! It has been between 6 and 9 degree centigrade all day. Bummer is that I checked Les PDS reports for Avoriaz/Morzine/Chatel and it is falling as rain on the mountain tops. 2 degree centigrade today up on top! But evidently the middle of CH is getting hammered.

Forecasts for Weds/Thurs look better for snow as the cold front arrives later. Hopefully not too late ...as this has been a real waste of moisture falling from above as rain and not snow.

PDS is so damned low. Even the tops are only about 2400/2500m or so. It gets colder the further south you head. Snow's falling down to 1800m in the Oisans and it will get much colder come Wednesday.

Just bummed that this prodigious wet front didn't collide with a cold front. Yeah, mid-week colder temps on the way. Just hope there is plenty of moisture left around to repair the damage.

I leave for St. Anton on Friday.
Any reports on whether they are getting rain or snow?

    Crying 2!

I hear you crying all the way down in G-town, dude. And I am crying with you.

Might have to back out of a weekend up in Les Crosets PDS if that cold front doesn't get here by Weds/Thursday!
