    that is amazing, some guy probably bought the sight for like $100 at a govt. autction......too bad there aren't more of these sites that have been abandon seeing as how Bush wants to build something like 100+ new nuclear weapons a year to replace our "aging" arsenal.......

    There's a Titan missile base near Tucson AZ that is a museum now. Well worth the visit if you're in the area. You get to walk through the underground operations, see the missile in the silo, etc.

    I lived right next to that (1/2 a mile) for 5 years, parents still do.

    That said, Tucson would have not been a great place to live if the cold war had ever broke out. There are Titan II silos all OVER the desert circling Tucson.
