I don't have a dog yet, the fiance and I will be moving to a dog friendly rental in a couple of weeks and will hopefully be rescuing a Border Collie then. Okay, so here it is http://www.musherssecret.net/. It's called Musher's Secret.
spray Pam or other oil spray on their feet before they go out. don't let them walk around on wood floors with it on though, it makes their feet really slippery.

so we got a new dog last month. we've been without for almost 2 years, both our pooches died within 6 months of each other and it's taken a while to find the right one.

this is teddy! he's a 2 year old, best we can figure border collie husky mix. his colouring (red merle) is more commonly found in aussie shepherds (the people called him an aussie shepherd, maybe so) but is also a border collie colour. smart and tricky like a coyote. pretty mellow, loves to lay around, but has energy when he needs to. super sweet and comes when he's called. he came from a farm with 11 dogs (most of them foster dogs) where he was the bottom of the pack. now he's the centre of attention and the only dog so we're looking forward to seeing him grow.

so happy to have a dog again! the house has been quiet for too long. we might need to get another soon. we're dogsitting for a few weeks and he really likes the company.

eta- and just because they are awesome, here's the 2 dearly departed:

our new 7 month old Plott Hound, "Bo", short for beaufort, classic brindle coat, they are the state dog of NC bread to hunt bear and boar apparently. We rescued him from the Humane society, he has just undergone several surgeries from a car accident that produced a mangled leg. But he is fine now and it does not even bother him. Figured he could be my recovery partner/inspiration.

He is already a part of the family, responds to commands, whistling, awesome on trail and off leash, just a sweet heart. He is replacing my dog of 17 years whom I had since 6 weeks old and was the best pal a human could ask for. I had to put him down this summer, saddest day of my life that lasted months....

Thats him in the back ground eviscerating one of many sticks that day

This is Chica, our 5lb. Chihuahua and Woody our 1900lb. Belgian Draft.

Yeah . . . she poops in the gnar.

Right now she's asleep between my neck and the back of my office chair, her favorite spot. We own our own business, so we bring her with us to work everyday. It makes work so much less stressful to have a dog available to pet at any moment.

I pick up our new gal from the shelter tomorrow after a fresh Spay .

70lbs, 10 months old, Golden / Chow mix...already stealing my heart. Should go well with our Chihuahua / American Eskimo mix we already have, haha.

I will post pics up when she gets home.

Boston/North Shore mags, Singing Sands Beach is open to dogs offseason. I highly recommend it if your dog likes water. Headed up there momentarily, but here are a couple of Otis and his lady friend, Sadie:

Singing Beach? Best dog spot in the world. You will find me there some weekend days with my big boy Bernese.

Horrible cell phone facebook pics...but you get the idea.

I would take some better pictures, but I am too busy trying to house train, crate train, don't knock my kids over train, stop trying to kill our chihuahua mix over bones training, etc.

Her name is Neva...and actually is a Golden/Sharpei/Something else mix.

Should have put that...she is about 10 months old, and I got her from a shelter here in Denver.

She is cute, but as I said a handful getting her into family pet mode from Shelter Gangsta mode.

Well I think it is high time I contribute to this thread.

    First up, Chester.

Then one of Wyatt. The little guy met his end way too soon due to CHF.

And last, but not least Eldy. A purebred nutcase. She is terrified of the camera, so this is the best I've got right now.

This dog is a bit crazy. She loves snow, but she can be a pain in the ass waiting for people to drop. She is part beagle, which means she makes A LOT of noise.
