Finally got into some snow the other day. Otis, my man loving a nice hike in the Greens:

It's bear season and Otis does a pretty good imitation... hence the orange "cape"

    Dude, that's rough. Really rough.

I don't know how to tell you to deal with it, both of my dogs that have passed on forced the issue. One suffocated in a bag of tortilla chips he got off the kitchen counter while I was at work, the other's heart ruptured, also while I was at work. In the case of the second one he was still alive when I got home and I got to be with him at the end at the vet's but there was no question what was going to happen or when.

It's tough to lose your buddy but take heart in the fact you did the best by him you could and that he had a great life because of you.

Yoshi is almost impossible to take a good picture of, as every time he sees the camera pointed at him, he looks the other way. I'm pretty happy with this picture I took of him on the back patio this morning while I was messing with a new lens.

Looks just like orangegondola's doggie. She is obviously older but same markings right down to the little white spot on chest. Cute pup.

    UNM... where's your desk ornament?

Boston/North Shore mags, Singing Sands Beach is open to dogs offseason. I highly recommend it if your dog likes water. Headed up there momentarily, but here are a couple of Otis and his lady friend, Sadie:

On the plane somewhere over Shasta and landing in Seattle relatively soon. I get to grab my pooch in the next couple hours after a week long vacation and am so excited to see her (well cared for by people she loves...very lucky).

We rescued her and although we have given her a wonderful home for years, I hate even contemplating the fact that we add to her abandonment complex. She ya soon Purna!

    Snowballs in Fur

So someone was asking about how to keep snowballs from sticking to your dog's fur. This stuff was made exactly for that and people say it doesn't stain furniture or carpet like Vaseline will. I don't have a dog yet, the fiance and I will be moving to a dog friendly rental in a couple of weeks and will hopefully be rescuing a Border Collie then. Okay, so here it is http://www.musherssecret.net/. It's called Musher's Secret.
