Max, I, for one, would love for you to get over the inferiority complex. Comments like these ^^^^ and thread titles with phrases like "(if you don't mind)" just get annoying after a while. I think once you accept that you're a maggot, everyone else will as well. I think the latter happened long ago, though.

That would suck. I'd love to get out there more to be able to post TR's and share the stoke. As is, when I hit the pow, the stoke/ fun makes me forget* everything and causes mental melt down. Result: I can't be bothered to get out the camera i.e. I don't have pics to show/ make up a TR with...

*not really forget... more like everything else doesn't matter, including taking pics to show what a gaper I am.

Should there be a litmus test? Nah, as far as gear swap goes I'd be leery of selling something to a one poster and if an oldtimer wanted said item I'd probably skip over the newb and sell to them, especially if it was actually someone I know or has helped me out in some other way. Not fair but fuck 'em if they can't take a joke.

I'm still always taken aback when someone ships me goods before they recieve payment, but I know if I didn't pay I'd get called out on it. So since I actually care about my reputation as an old fart redneck gaper, I always make good on it. The checks and balances seem to work fine as they are.
