Interested to hear what you found if you went up this morning. I went up last night, skinning by 5.40, and just went up pierres, but it was really weird, kinded of crusted over on top, but breakable/grabby. I would guess it was the wind but not sure. I should have skied steeper stuff but don't really like doing that by myself in fresh snow at dusk So it was grabby and slow once you sunk in, which was most of the time. Would also guess that higher up and/or more sheltered the chances of blower would have been higher
the skiing at Bridger Bowl today was definately worth the skin. I would say there are pockets of snow 16" deep with a consistent layer about 10-12" on the ridge. If you stay in the trees on north facing slopes, you'll be having fun . Be careful though, as the sun comes out later in the day, avi danger gets pretty high...stuff was sliding today. Have fun, be safe!
