How many times can a ski be drilled?

Just wondering if there were a drill limit before a ski is obsoleted.

    thanks

I think this might have been discussed about THREE or so times, in most cases at least.

depends on the ski, a noodle like a pocket rocket, i wouldn't go above 2, something like an iggy or an old school axiom, 3 without any problems

Although I have heard a lot of shops wont drill after the second or third because of liability or something. I dunno if that's really the case or not

I had a shop swear to me that my twice drilled Jaks were going to explode on me the second I skied them hard. Pfft. Of course that same shop told me that they would mount my bindings chord center even after I specifically told them where to mount.

Well Steve. The answer to your question is based on, the length and width of your ski and the size of your drill bit.
My guess would be several hundred even more with a small diameter bit.

I've broken a ski where it's been re-mounted...where the old holes were. I don't trust it.

Powder Plus, Explosive's and similar skis can be re drilled until they look like swiss cheese and still be fine. I have a pair with 9 or 10 sets of holes, some of them right next to each other due to the silly old offset mounting. No rip outs so far...... had 1080's de mount bindings on their third set.
