    Cool Bike Porn Recommendations

I want some bike porn. Skiing's officially over for me, save a couple hikes for a few hundred feet of slush @ Ripley, and at this point in the year ski porn just depresses me. I need something to get my mind off of the white stuff.

I read this thread (http://tetongravity.com/forums/showt...ight=bike+porn ), and did do a lazy sort of search. Really, though, I'd like to be spoonfed, thanks.

I have the 5 (or 6?) disc Red Bull Rampage collection -- which totally blows my fucking mind. Cool story, and really cool to watch the progression. I'm into it, but it's something I'll see very little of in the midwest. Urban stuff is cool, too, but also a little difficult to relate to. I'm more of a c/c kind of guy.

So I want primarily c/c fast tech singletrack with small hits to get excited about with samplings of big/urban stuff to keep me dreaming.

    Whaddya recommend?

I'm still a big fan of Jib for urban. Manifesto is another good one, mostly trials, but still very impressive.

Chainsmoke or Chain Reaction (or both?) has tons of racing and fast singletrack riding. Nothing real burly, just riding mostly. I think Earthed might be racing too, but I don't remember. I sure somebody will chime in and correct me.

by "c/c" do you mean XC? If so then I have no idea of any movies that specifically fit your requirements.

However, you should really check out The Collective. It's got some of everything. Freeride, trials, singletrack shredding...

Earthed 1, 2 and 3.... World cup race footage. Sweet vids.
Since then it's been a book you read in reverse, so you understand less as the pages turn.

The things you find on the net.

Sunday in Hell--about the 1976 Paris Roubaix is fantastic and definately should be in every cyclists catalouge. Sure, big air and 9 inch travel bikes rock, but watching Merckx and Moser duke it out over the cobbles is something else.

yeah, xc... how about xc/freeride? I'd think a techy singletrack seg would be similar to a powder segment in a skiing movie for me.

While the racing footage in Earthed is rad, I thought it got a little boring after a while. I'd have liked to see them add some other types of riding in there.

But it is ridiculous. The vision, control, and skill it takes to hit some of those lines at that speed is amazing.

One of the things that I liked about the Earthed movies was their music... Wasn't really what I was expecting, but it was good.

Earthed 3 has some sweet urban, some DJing, and some coverage of the AMAZING Megavalanche race in Alpe D'huez.

I hear the last 1/2 of ROAM is all really big mountain riding showing off unhuman abilities. Doesn't really sound like what he's looking for.
