Kermit's takes the dive bar to new levels. Cheap beer and surly waitresses, what more do you want? A close second has to be a beech chair in the Corona Lot at Mary Jane.
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
    Cletus: Duly noted.

I love apres-ski drinks...don't know what I prefer more unbuckling by boots or that first sip of beer....hmmm. As mentioned Merlins and Longhorn at W/B.

Forgetting the name (the name was never important), but I always liked the one at the base of Okemo. The Loft? Dad's? I forget the name (obviously) but they had good food and most importantly, a good vibe.

Anyone remember the Matterhorn in Stowe?
We used to sneak in after hours (I went to high school across the street briefly) and drink ourselves silly...a few of us were smart enough to clean up after ourselves, but then the dumb sophomore pukes found out, and our two week binge was over in a snap.

    Fuckers.

    RIP, TeePee. For now.

I can't even imagine how much I have spent at the Trap in the last nine seasons. Riding 3-5 days a week. And stopping in there pretty much every damn one of them. God I hate Larry Williamson.

Le Petit Danois, in Val D'isere. Has all these amazing ~15% Danish beers in mahoosive steins and the bloke behind the bar drinks cough syrup.

Does the ski shop you work in count? When beers come out at "5PM?" Sometimes 4:30 means 5, so you never really knew... Anyway I always thought that was really sweet.

Also, Ceasar's in South Lake did me well a couple of times, although quite an oddity it is.

ABasin bar (no clue after 25 years wtf its name is)
HUNGRY LOGGER in South Fork, E of Wolf Creek...
Always love tthe J-Bar in aspen, although its not really apres...
the deck at the St. Bernard in Taos. if its warm out.

Is the Goat (Soup & Whiskey) still at Keystone? Had fun there once.

    Dirty Ernie's (Idaho)
    The Steam Donkey (Cali)
    The Cotton Bottom (Utar)

Not really "ski bars" per se, but where the real characters hang out, not to be seen but to get stoopid drunk after a day on the hill, watch tourists get treated poorly and with a little luck a lot of Jager shots go home with a really ugly yet affectionate and loose local female.
