For a raging good time nothing beats the Mooserwirt in St. Anton. Had more drunkin, dancing, raging afternoons/nights there than anywhere else.

For a chill drink Mangy Moose.

I'd put in a vote for one well below the radar: the Snorting Elk @ Crustal. Best place in the world. That and Aaron and Jen's shed @ Silverton.

It ain't the bar, it's the company.

GMD saloon was my "living room."

The Red Dog bar at Squaw is classic but it's closed now. Le Chamois (Chammy or Chamois) has to one of the all time best places to throw down pitchers and talk about how sic the past 8 hours of your life has been while staring out at KT, Light towers and Tram Face (no cigarette smoke which is nice). There is enough energy and good vibes at the Chammy after a big powder to power the KT lift.

Next inline should be the Chambre Neuf but I ended up smelling like an ash tray and some drunk Brit puked all over the place, so it went down a few notches in my book.

As someone else said, Merlin's and Longhorn are good at w/b, Merlin's was better when we could get staff pitchers... back in the day Le p'tit Caribou at Tremblant(I know def not epic skiing but I grew up racing there) had the sweetest setup including a hot tub in the bar..

Grumpy's in Sun Valley has a special place in my heart.

I've gotten in more trouble in the Club in Vail than I'd care to admit.

The old Kaltenberg Castle left a mark.

for pure ski bar, though, the Last Lift at Keystone(as much as it pains me to say it) is pretty legit.

The Trap in Targhee is good but not like it used to be.
Apples in SV deserves a vote.
    Oh'Shucks in PC is Primo.
But I would have to go with the Shooting Star Saloon in Huntsville,UT near Snowbasin!

Another vote for the Mangy Moose, one for the sneaky Elk at Crustal and one for the Rack at the Loaf now that Seth and friends own the place.

There was a great place in Lionshead called the Sunrise Bar & Grill (I think) that had cheap beer and several pool tables. That was my favorite Apres bar. Garton's (now 8150) had awesome music - I saw the Allman Brothers and Dave Matthews there for chrissakes. Another gem that's now gone was the Jackalope in West Vail.

Love the GMD's bar, but like 13 said - it's more like your living room than a "real" bar.

The Longhorn in W/B has some of the hottest girls I've ever seen in ski country. My wife slapped me there one night. Twice.

    For North Shore Tahoe.

I like the Vib in the Homewood lodge, and then hit Rosies in Tahoe City

MrNohills & I frequently frequented Fire & Ice at the base of the Heave's Gondola last April when we were in Tahoe.

Did I call it DMR bitch!? Nobody pulled your string. I don't think farquarts had a beer named after it. You are probably just front range trash.
