Cool 2004 Dynastar Legend Pro: News from the rep

Here is the official word from a Dynastar rep on the Legend Pro (and Legend AK):

194 Legend Pro is in stores now. For 2004, it's just a reskinned 2003 Super Nobis with an orange topsheet. It's still full race-room. But, you knew that.

186 Legend Pro is NEWNEWNEW. Due in stores around January 20th. It's a full race-room ski like the 194, but it's from a new(newnew) mold and has a 97mm waist. I like the sound of that. : Dewey here says they're: 122-97-117mm

Next year, the 194 Legend Pro will grow to the same 97mm waist. No mention of if it will keep the same name, but I'd assume so.

Now would be a great time for Look to start making fat brakes for their race-stock bindings, eh?

No mention of the Legend AK. If it is real, it's going to be a damned snowboard.

Hope this clears everything up. Now, do I want 186 Legend Pro's, 180 Explosives or or 180 4Frnt's or 186 MoJo's.... Ack!

I think that answer to that question is probably 'yes'.

Woah, nobody said they were revolutionary.

Note: There's 1 pair of the 186's in the back of the shop at SportsDen. They got them in early for some female Dynastar skiercross pro.

I humped em so hard, I'm chafed.

Hmm...I'm loving my current Super Nobis as an everyday ski, don't think I'd use it nearly as much if it had a 97 waist. Still, I want one....looks like I'll be looking to upgrade next year

Jesus they seriously don't make fat brakes for the latest race-stock bindings. that sucks. After a runaway ski incident this weekend at Snowmass, I was thinking of selling the old ZR's I have for some new race-stock pivots with fat brakes....there goes that idea.

I think they may make fat brakes for rossi's 18 din binding. I'm pretty sure I saw Sage with wide brakes and the B3.

they make them for the Pro 180, or whatever it may be called in all its different incarnations. Hardrider has them on his AKEnemys. Not for the old style ZR/TT09 type super extremo burl brobrah heels.

You would if you moved to someplace that got snow.

I totally forgot that I'd probably need to have some type of bindings installed to really get the most out of these new skis. Doh!

I'll call the rep and look into the fat brakes for P18s and report back.

I called my Dynastar rep, and Look is sold out of P18's from the factory...

Do I really have to put Salomon bindings on my Dynastars? GASP!

Is the center mount on the Legends/Super Nobis further back than the Inspired?
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

my .02 on the binding factor. -

Honestly, the p14s are probably more reliable than those p18s.

I guess if you want to NEVER RELEASE, than there is a reason to have those. Otherwise, there is not. The 14 on a P14 is surely good enough.
Also - you can get a wide brake.

Seth Morrison does not crank down beyond a 12 anymore, ever. He f'ed his leg up from his ski not releasing a few years ago.

On the other hand, if you do have the 18's, girls will think you have a huge cock.

Just got the same news. Meh. He didn't think there were any fat brakes for the P18's anyways...

Looks like I might be headed for some P14 w/fat brakes I guess...

Metal Look racestockers never say die.

    Never.

    I like that.

Besides, the women can tell I have a huge cock because of my "I have a huge cock" T-shirt.

greatly suprised by my scratch 140 (same binder) my touring boots fitted and they released when they had to. my din dropped from a 12 on the markers, that released all the time to a 9 and no pre-release...i was ridding my tyrolias at 13 and they were the same feel too.

Word from the shop is that there is a wide-brake P18 in existence, but it's fully a special order from Look. Considering the fattest Dynastar out there had been 89 up until now, I'm not surprised most people haven't heard of them.

Not that it matters, Look is still sold out of them. :/

I think there'd be a maggot revolt if Volkl ever changed the dimentions and construction of the Explosive. Its all they can do to change the tail from flat to twined
For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was

What are you talking about!? How would the metal P18's be LESS reliable than the mostly plastic P14s???

No, I NEVER WANT TO RELEASE on my Legend Pros. I want to be able to hot tub a cliff and still ski out of it.

It would be LESS RELIABLE to run a P14 at 14 than a P18 at 14... Bindings work better when the DIN is towards the middle of the spectrum.

You can bend the brakes to fit a 90 waist.

Seth Morrison and phUnk weigh about a buck fifty. I don't. I need more than 12.

But still, like phUnk said, the factory is sold out of P18s. So I guess they get some Slamons...
