    "The Hit List" (MSP)

....is it worth buying it?? (It costs about 37 Euro (= 45 USD) here in Austria,-so it´s pretty expensive. )

    Would YOU buy it?

I second Tangerine Dream, it is about the best film out that I have seen so far. The Prophecy is good also. Later.

Hit List is probably my second favorite MSP film, right behind Ski Movie [1.] Its pretty good, but I wouldn't spend $45 on it. Waiting Game is twice as good as either one of them, TD was just meh for me...

Actually, I would say buy it. I've watched it well over 10 times and it's one of the best ski movies I've ever seen. The Tangerine Dream is just as awesome in my opinion so buy both of them if possible. I'll always favor TGR when it comes to ski movies but MSP did an amazing job this year.

I'd buy it for sure. Think about it. How much pleasure could you get downtown behind the McDonalds with $45? That's right. Not as much pleasure as you'd get with the hit list, and you'll be even better off without that costly and unsightly STD.

The Hit List remix is a seriously good movie.

Yeah I agree, the Hit List Re-Mix (Second DVD included, in case you weren't aware) is wayyy better. Both are awesome though. Even if you have to pay $45 no matter what (if they can't cut you a deal) it'll be worth it.

Hmm, contrary to what these other guys are saying, I thought it sucked, and would not buy it. I was not very impressed with the ski movies this year. I did not see them all though. I saw the Warren Miller movie, which was good in the beginning, then got really bad after that. The Hit List was no good either, in my opinion. And, besides Zach and Reg's segment in Booter Crunk, that also sucked. For some reason, this year, both MSP and Warren Miller really seemed to lack good editing and soundtracks. The footage was okay, but nothing special. The Tangerine Dream was a tight movie, though, will LOTS OF POW. I didn't have the most fun watching it though. It was 0 degrees outside where it was being shown, and I wore a t-shirt. I didn't realize until half way through how freakin cold I was. Anyway, moral of the story, I wouldn't buy the Hit List, but thats just me.

I thought the Hit List was great and would buy it. The Eric Hjorleifson segment is unreal.
I should want to cook him a simple meal, but I shouldn't want to cut into him, to tear the flesh, to wear the flesh, to be born unto new worlds where his flesh becomes my key.

Yes. Also, the bonus DVD has some great footage. I own it. One of the better ski DVDs out there.

I'm usually a big fan of MSP films, but I have to say I was dissappointed with the Hit List. The intro was really good, however, it didn't seem to have the "magic" that Yearbook had. I also wasn't impressed with the soundtrack at all

The two movies I bought this year where Tangerine Dream and Teddy Bear Crises. Both very different movies, but both are excellent IMHO.

When I saw it the first time I was a bit dissapointed; I thought it had a lot of REALLY sick lines or airs, interspersed between some really terrible skiing (some of the park guys need to stay in the park), and I thought the jump scenes filmed by the helicoptor were overdone and not nearly as good as the ones in Yearbook. After thinking about it though, it had: an awesome storm segment for tahoe (total fucking sickbird) which you gotta love, Pep's segment in Russia was unreal, any Hugo segment is worth the price of the movie, the soundtrack was excellent, and the intermittent sick shots were as I mentioned very sick, and rather plentiful. I haven't bought it, but I'm tempted.

I liked Yearbook and Soul Purpose a bit better but I still liked the Hit List enought to buy it. I think the McConkey and Cody Townsend segments and interaction is great.
