People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

    Question

    WTF? I can't get past 120,000.

The highest maneuver is the 720 alley oop, which nets 6500 points (regardless of the fact that it's never been pulled in real life).

Cutbacks in the tube my friends, cutbacks in the tube (also unpossible in real life)

Ah, the 720. I stumbled upon that last night while messing around. Now I try to make that my first maneuver or something else big if I am not hitting the lip at the correct angle.

Hold the cutback button down the whole ride and turn as much in the tube as possible. Be careful though because if you don't release the space bar before the end of the ride you get no points for all those cutbacks.

Now I am trying to figure out how those guys get 200k rides. Oh and, what the hell did that dude do to get 308k? Did he tube ride the whole wave on the back of the shark, or do consecutive 720's landing in the tube the whole ride?

Damn...ok now I have 138000. I've gotten up to about 100000 tube bonus but I can't seem to get more than 40000 for just cutbacking the entire time. Any hints, tricks. And the 720 I just can't get that one to fly either. Regardless this is pretty fun and helping my mid exam boredom.

I have actually gotten 6525 points for an air other than the 720 (max for a 720 that I have received is 6325 points). I don't think this maneuver has ever been done in RL either so I have no idea what to call it.

Its kinda fun to throw a 720 from just in front of the lip, land it deep inside the tube and make it.

Edit: Just got a 6525 for another manuever that normally nets me around 5400, sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less.

Coach GheePu is here to school you. My qualifications are as follows:
    1) I have a tremendous amount of experience playin' this game (a whopping 18 or so hours).
    2) I regularly score in the 150-170k range provided I complete the wave (doesn't happen too often ).
    3) I am currently ranked #10 in the world with a score just a c-hair shy of 182,000.

    Now for the lesson:
    A) Cutbacks: Practice your cutbacks by staying ahead of the tube and rip the shit outta the face of the wave for its entire length. Once you can do that consistently scoring 80k+ for cutbacks alone its time to take cutbacks to the tube.

    B) Tube Riding: While in the tube keep turning as fast as you can. Get in a rythm and keep cutting back. When you begin to score 70-80k+ for both tube time and cutbacks you should start thinking about airs.

    C) Air: At the begining of your ride while waiting for the freight train to come try to link some big airs. To score the big air points start your rotations at the moment you pop off the top and really tweak it out. Rotate too early and you won't get the height you need, too late and your rotation will be too slow. Find an air that you can do fairly consistently for a high score (upper 5k to over 6k). Link 3,4 or maybe even 5 of those quickly before the freight train cometh. BTW, hold that freakin' cutback button down throughout your airs because I think you rotate faster and you score cutback points on you bottom turn. My favorite air is a 180 to reverse rotation 360 for a score of 6075-6525.

Edit: D) Beer (or other alcoholic beaverage): Drink lots of it while playing the game. 'Nuff said on that subject.

My formula: Hold cutback button down at all times until the very end of your ride. Big airs until the tube comes, dive into the tube and turn like a MOFO.

I played for about 5 minutes today and my first and only scoring ride looked a little something like this:
    points scored = 91,800 (cutbacks=67,000 airs=24,800)
    tube bonus = 79,900
    Total score = 171,700

I hope this helps. I also look forward to seeing some of you mags make a run for the top! : Bring it on bitches!
