    Buff Pass TR 4/1/06

reidhresko made it up to the 'boat for a couple of days to do some skiing. We headed to the ski area friday. Reidhresko pulled out some bros from his rocket box and I was stoked to get my first look at them...
I took off the straps "Those look sweet, Oh it looks like you got a bit of a delam under the heel"
"Yeah I noticed that putting them away yesterday"
    -I flexed 'em...
    "Are these the softs?"
    "No.....
"Oh yeah this one is stiffer, the other one is just broken "

A quick binding switch and we were good to go.

We did a couple of long loops in the BC and I snapped a couple of pics of reidhresko...

We headed to Buff on saturday. The snow was really good overall. I'm always amazed at how the snow holds up in Routt. We only had around 6" in the week prior to those shots and the following vid.
My bud Noah (non-mag) came along to make the magic number 3.

We get to the top of Lower Bitch Creek and I say "Oh shit, I almost didn't think I was going anywhere" after realizing I had to readjust my bindings. Then reidhresko replied "I however, am not going anywhere" as he realized the heel mechanism on his Bishops had rattled off on the drive up. So around 5 miles back to the car later and still no heel piece...He puts his 10.5 foot into my (brand new, might I add) 25.5 Denali's as I put on my alpine boots I just happened to take along.
Then we were off for the second time with John preparing to alpine for the first time in nine years....BRING IT! (and don't break my shit). He wound up having a blast, aside from turning my 25.5's into 27's

Here is the vid, I put together (really quickly so don't give me shit)...

and yes, a tripod would have helped (especially reidhresko's shaky hands!) and I will definitely be getting one soon.

Lets see if this works, I'll repost the link if it does not.

I don't think putfile will let you link the pics to here without going to their site. Try hosting the pics somewhere else.

The video was cool. Pure talent. You guys were getting after it! Nice work.

Thanks for the info Blurred, I'll look into it.

Krash, I'm definitely down fri/sat. 7" two night ago just buttered that terrain right back up. I addition to the other several thousand acres... .

If you see someone flippin', it's him...I think he is more comfortable airing upside down these days.
He is skiing the tree line, and the final segment also.

And yes, his gear "to buy" list increased tremendously this week...AT gear, New bro's, new bishop part...New bike, new thule rack.....(parking garage clearance bars and winter whiteouts make for damaging concequences to one poor Uzzi SLX and ski/bike rack). sorry to bring up a sore subject there John...

    Heh.

Oh yeah, Buff pass sucks. It's for sled heads, not skiers or boarders. They don't get any snow and the terrain sucks. No need to go up there. I would recommend destructing this thread. No need for it.
