YES!! another SMITH SPORT OPTICS ROCKS thread!

I was so stoked beyond belief this week, that I had to post this.

Earlier this week I get a call from SMITH S.O., they had a question on my warranty shipment they had just received.

The conversation started with a simple apology, stating that that they regretted not having an arm for an older model, mint condition, pair of CORVAIRS that I broke practically right out of the case in 01.

The dude said he looked everywhere and could not find any spare parts because that particular model had been phased out a while back (yea like 6 years ago!).

I sent the glasses in, with a couple pairs of “Slider” lenses that were starting to de-lam, and I knew that they would replace those, but the old sunglasses were sent “just to see what they would do” ?.

So I asked my options, and the dude continues on to say, that the glasses would be replaced and added, that they would be happy to ship out AT NO CHARGE, a brand new pair valued under $95.00!! wow!

So once again, I am here to say, I SMITH S.O. has their shit together

    yea, smith is cool.

i wish i could make a product for real cheap, sell it for a buttload, and then get a sweet ass reputation for giving a little bit of the cheap stuff away for free. im not complaining, smith does rock. just the beer talking.

Hey if you really like sending your shit in on warranty every couple month's SMITH rock's. Or you could get some real optics that kick ass and don't break, like Oakley.

Sorry to poop on your stoke thread, but besides Dragon I have never broke so many pieces .

I like their glasses and Action Optics line, but have crappy luck with their goggle lenses having bad seals. Been through 5 different lenses on two pairs of goggles in the last 3 years with Smith...nothing worse on a pow day than having to run into the Bird mid-mt shop to drop 90-bucks on a new pair of .............................Oakleys! And make Tuffy and Frizzo wait for me while the reswtaurant chutes await.

    Bumping...

I sent in some of Mrs. C.'s Smith Sliders to see what they'd do. The screws keep falling out of the hinges (even with red Loctite), and the earpiece rubber things were mangled. Smith sent back some new identical replacement frames within 1 week. Very very cool of them.

    awfuk it! never mind

Smith has never let me down and most of the breaks or scratches have been my fault. I doubt Oakley would warranty half the stuff I that Smith has for me.
