Being a student in France ain't bad...

...when the lazy layabouts aren't protesting/rioting or gorging themselves on fromage it seems some of them get up to some funky stuff on skis.

Nice writeup on skipass (in French, d'oh) of the 7th Student Freeride last weekend. Prolly of more interest to maggots, some cool video too. Seems to be a nice level of riding, moreso in the finals, and some nasty crashes. I like the video editing too, nice.

the 280 to double-eject and ski launch was special...

I find that strobing editing style maddening. It's such a gimmicky way to try to make poorly shot video look interesting. Glad I'm not prone to seizures.

oh come on you two. time and tide and progressive skivideos wait for no man. ihr seid einfach nicht mehr am puls der zeit.

what is that yellow thing the one guy flies off the rock with? it seems too small to be a proper paraglider, more like a snowkite, dimension wise.

second vid is nice too. plus de neige que dans la première.

I turned it off after the first minute because I could feel my brain swelling in my head and ready to EXPLODE!

you wonder what that is? you should throw an eye on this. I guess it's the french destiny to figure out strange ways to decend a mountain.

woooh "epic scope and magnitude" ....... for some people a little pathos is enough others seem to need a higher dose.
oh and progression these days seems to be hucking in neon (f)artbags. im getting old....

edit: and why do they put out trailers in march ?
