    M:EX - history?

I was talking to the guy at 866skideals, and he mentioned that the m:ex wasn't going to be made anymore. I bring this up because as I was researching some old threads, I noticed some folks voicing their regret that they missed the Steep and Cheep M:EX sale. But they can still be had with neox's at action sports for something like 380. So if anyone still wants these things new, mebbe now's the time to buy them. I considered, but just not the ski for me.

Yep, M:ex's are history. Sweet Daddys pretty much took their spot in the line up. The SD is a much lighter/more playful ski.

Actually the Pimp Daddy replaced the EX. It comes 174 and 185cm and is 22m in the 185. I skied them the other day in 185cm and they were horrible. I skied them back to back with the Line Prophet 90 179cm the next day to make sure it was the ski and not just me and it was. The Lines even with a full twin and 6cm less length were more stable at speed and held a better edge through crud. It wasn't the width either becaue the Snoops are 88mm in the waist a mere 2mm less than the Prophets. I took the ski back into my shop yesterday to find the base was sucked up into the ski and I was practically only skiing the edges. They were brand new and I was the first guy on the pair. That is the second completely mistuned '07 Atomic we have seen this spring, the other was a M:11 B5.
