Fucking weak making the www.sublimearchive.com shut down. For those who don't know it was THE place for all Sublime's live and unrealeased downloads. They had dozens of live shows and tons of rare albums that are out of print. The site is run by a couple college kids so they don't have any money for a legal fight so they had to comply.

Fuck them in the fucking asses. Fuck you universal rot in hell you rat bastard.

    Sorry had to vent.

I already e-mailed universal but I doubt it's going to be of any use .

Was the site operated with permission from the group?

If not, I can't imagine why you're surprised.
    It's idomatic, beatch.

The thing is, the recording company owns the rights to the music/band, not the band.

That's pretty messed up when the band doesn't even control where or how the music goes.

What doesn't make sense is that there was a good hunk of music was unreleased acoustic/live performances. Doesn't seem like Universal would have rights to EVERYTHING Sublime produced.
