been downloading some freeware lately... some of it's shit, and some of it's been pretty cool (I've found the menubar to be much more useful than the dashboard):

The Unread -- Sits in my menubar and polls mail every 30 seconds, tells me how many new messages I have. Eliminates my obsessive compulsive need to check the dock every 2 minutes.

Process Wizard -- Sits in my menubar and shows me all the running processes when I click on it. Allows me to kill rogue freeware that's running in the background and never properly closed itself. Makes me feel in control.

Meteorologist -- Also sits in my menubar. Shows me current conditions. Forecast for the next 5 days is a click away. Eliminates my obsessive compulsive need to have a weather tab always open, and refresh it every hour.

SENUTI -- Lets me download music from my ipod to my computer. Complements itunes in a beautiful, beautiful way. Now I feel safe using my ipod to store my music, and have another 15GB of space on my laptop. (I did backup to DVD)
