    haha... a few years ago when i was working at the mountain full time we had a really slow day so we had a race. snowboarders on skis, skiers on snowboards... chinese downhill. the people on skis obviously kicked our asses since almost all of them started out on skis before switching to snowboarding... plus skis are just faster. that race was my first ever time on a snowboard... it wasn't pretty. but i'd have done alright if the trail didn't require that i make a toeside turn.
