24/25 is bad for me also.
too close to the Utah trip.
not that anyone would miss me.

Taking a cue from Western summits, look at the long term planning that goes into such an event. You need to focus on this thing back in the fall at least. Given the fickle conditions out here, and the lack of a cohesive crew, it's a recipe for a weak broth at best.

Anyway, I'll be skiing Magic on the 23rd and 25th of this month, who's in?

I think we did focus on it in the fall--several times. But as usual it came to nothing.
So we still haven't hit ten people for either date.
Honc, I guess you're riding with me.

    I'll be in for 30-2/1.

Are there any cheap lodging possibilities in the Mad River?

I keep lurking but I probably won't be able to commit to anything until I can see if the medication I'm taking is getting my joints(especially my knee) ski worthy again.

Good fire. I am in for MRG/any other VT location on the weekend of Jan 30. Reasonable accomodations close the deal.

Dex: I have access to a car so no ride is necessary, but if you are going at the same time, I am stoked to share a ride/gas (doing my part to save the world). That goes for everyone going from the NYC area that weekend.

How about a head count for Jan 30-Feb 1? Definites only please.

You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.

I can offer a ride up north weekend of the 30th for anyone who's willing to get themselves to Stamford, CT train station. We usually leave kind of late to miss the rush hour--around 7pm or so.

is this an MRG/Sugarbush combo deal, or is it just being limited to MRG right now?

I'm asking because I can probably go that weekend, and I can make an attempt at securing some lodging space at the Bush for at least a few mag/minions to crash in, i think I got a good hookup over the weekend. if not, we can try for another weekend at sugarbush.

Man, I didn't even read this until now, figuring that these EC things never happen. I might be in if someone decides on something.

Egan's Big World Pub in Warren has decent, fairly cheap rooms, an excellent restaurant and a cozy little bar. I recommend it.

Someone make a call here and I'll see if I can make it.

If I had my druthers (or is that Smithers?), I would ski a northern resort on Sat and then move south on Sunday. Makes its easier for the Sunday drive back to the Metro NY area.

I think I'll be using the Turn of the River Lodge as a base. Only 1 hr. from MRG and the dorms are cheap.

What about MRG or SB on Saturday and Killington Sunday? Agree about the drive home...and Sundays are less crowded at K.

Count 1 for the 30th-1st, if good (read cheapish) accomodations can be found. I'm up for MRG, skiied there a weekend ago and would definately like to go back if they have more snow. The idea for heading south on sunday is also a good one.

Sugarbush rocked today, lets hope it keeps up.

We could do MRG/Bush on saturday, and all go to the American Flatbread Restaurant in waitsfield, which has the absolute best pizza in the world.

OK, will email. Still don't want to sound like this will definitely happen, since I've seen this plan crash and burn for no apparent reason before, but I'll be at MRG on the Saturday if youse guys are there. Gotta be at Mt. Slow on Sunday, though.
