    heh, Sasha's mother was a Czech-born GSD and her Dad was a big black dog who climbed over a 7-foot fence and the kennel couldn't chase away for 2 days. Vets over the years leaned towards some sort of Great Dane-Greyhound mix on her father's side.

    Maybe a cougar got him? Bears @ the back door 3x last week. He was too sick to care the last 2 times. Grid search, kids and neighbors looking on as I wept. He would not load up in the EX's car after she moved out. My only

    To those that have lost a good, maybe best friend on this page, my sincerest condolences.
    Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst.     We lost Ava this morning. Beautiful Bernese-Golden mix. 6 years old. Up until 3 days ago she seemed fine. Yesterday she basically collapsed. Hemangiosarcoma. We've had a lot of dogs, still have 3 now, but Ava was the love of my wife's life, such a sweet and soulful dog. wtf.

    I stayed with her and patted her head as they put her down. I've done that a bunch of times before but this was rough. Is rough. Not 2 hours ago as I write this.

    Because my wife loved her so much I had a portrait done and gave it to her a surprise on her birthday 3 weeks ago. It seems like a long time ago now. Glad I did it. I'll post a pic of it from my phone in a minute.

    RIP Ava.
