I found a painting online called "All Good Dogs". Looks a lot like our buddy Jake.

I love the old guys with gray.... it gives them character. Our almost-13 yr old black lab has less gray than most 5 year old labs; we like to think that's because he's lived a pretty stress free and amazing life.

If you've ever lost a dog do not watch "The Purpose of a Dog". We got to relive the passing of all our dogs in one movie. What a cry fest.

    It's just a dog.

I just lost one of my dogs last week. A Doberman, named Zeke. He was only 8 and he was my favorite.

He had heart problems. My mother brought him in for a checkup, because he was coughing, the next thing I know, he was gone.

I didnt even get to say goodbye..

    I loved my Zekeyboy

I am sorry to hear that aevergreene. We all deserve the opportunity to say good bye to our friends. Hopefully Zeke is now happily playing across the Rainbow Bridge, now that he is healthy again.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Sorry to hear that... We just had a near-miss with canine breast cancer. Tumor turned out to be pretty self contained and not aggressive. They removed a mass the size of a tangerine, but still felt confident that was the end of the story. Hoping you guys have a similar outcome.

What a sweet looking dog. Hope it comes out good.
If he winds up a tripod, he should still be ok. Especially if it's a back leg he loses.
    No longer stuck.
