    Earthquake in Jackson Hole

My wife just called and said there was an eathquake in Jackson today. 4.7 of the R Scale. Anybody hear about this? What is the story?

hit 19m away in the Gros Ventre's
I didnt feel it, and no damage done.
They happen out that way frequently, but they normally hit in the mid 2 range.
Unless it hits on the Teton Fault its a non-event. If it hits hard on the fault, I hope my shack floats, cuz the dam is gonna go, and Wilson will be a swamp again.

Thank goodness the USGS dismantled the seismic network

I would guess that if the slope would slide from that mag. of a quake that far away, it had already slid b/c you were on it.

I slept through it... but both my brothers from Illinois woke up in a panic about the building collapsing.
