Man, in 10 years of hitting Alta, I honestly cannot remember a time when I've seen her look, feel, and treat me better than she did for the past week. Before we got up there, she had been hit by an 80-90 inch storm, then during our stay, we got at least an additional 40. For those fools who don't know Alta's snow information by heart, she usually gets about 500 a year, they're currently up to 320. IT'S THE 6TH OF JANUARY. Also, their base is quickly coming up on it's normal mid-February levels. I can't wait until I get back out in February.
Powstash, Xover, mr and mrs Alta girl (really not sure, I was hungover when i met you two) definitely going to have to log some turns with you fools when I make my way back out there.
Sadly, though, I am coming out just after the mini. As that is when school vacations allow my family to make it out to the Peruvian which directly enables me to stay and ski for free.
So, dare I ask?
Who will be around post-mini? I'm not looking to coordinate some monumental effort or anything of the sort, just checking out who's going to be skiing Alta after the mini, and who wants to make some turns. I'll ask the question lots more before my time rolls around again, and there's still plenty of time to see what's going on.
