FS: stiff Bro Models w/ Axial 140

FS: stiff Bro Models, 188cm, aspen core (brown sidewall, black base), drilled once for Rossignol Axial 140 (DIN to 14) bindings, which are currently mounted on the skis. These were SponsoredByDuctTape's Bro Models; he had them mounted for around a 313mm boot sole, but somehow, this binding mount wound up with my 319mm Tecnica boot sole being perfectly on the marked topsheet line (1038mm I believe).

Skis are near-perfect. 2 or 3 small scratches in base, no edge damage, small scuffs on topsheet. No Ptex work, no coreshots, no edge compressions, no delams. Bases were ground to Splat's specs by SBDT, and edges are race tune sharp (as in, I have cut myself on these edges). Only item that needs repair is that there is a small bubble (1cm X 2cm) in the base, near the tip of one ski. Splat says this is super easy to fix with a razor blade, some epoxy, and a C-clamp; I just haven't gotten around to it. The bubble is not spreading.

$510 for skis + bindings shipped within 48 states; not willing to separate skis from bindings.

Edit: should add that the bindings definitely adjust to fit a 325mm boot sole as currently mounted, and probably will go down to a 307-309mm sole, but cannot confirm that.

I'll try to get pics taken and posted tomorrow evening.

    Edit #2: price drop.

They don't fit my tastes based on flex pattern & mounting point. They have a very even and deep flex throughout the ski, which is unique, but I prefer a softer tip with stiffer underfoot/ stiffer tail (relative to the flex across the ski).

I can see why so many people like them, but I have other skis I prefer in various conditions. If it was my only fat ski, I'd keep it and remount it back another 2cm. The forward mounting point just doesn't work for me, but as you can tell from the rave reviews here, a lot of people love it.

Anyway, these are in great shape, will get pics up tonight. Whoever did the tune job on these skis did an exceptional job -- looks to me like the $60 "race tune special" from the local shop.

I actually had the fortune of tuning those myself, thanks. The edges come courtesy of a Wintersteiger Ceramic Disc edger.

Pics taken just a few minutes ago. The closeup of the tips shows the tiny base bubble.

PM sent back. kadeater is first in line, but needs to wait until Sunday to confirm some other matters. I'll post up here on Sunday evening if everything is going through with kadeater or if the Bros are available.

Limitations: I think he can only fit 41 pair in his garage.

C'mon Jim - you need a pair of longer stiffer skis. BUY THEM. Do you use your Explosivs any more?

PRICE DROP: $510 shipped within 48 states. Less $ for local (Reno/ Tahoe) pickup.
