    Medium Stiff fatties

I am looking to add a ski to my quiver. I have PR's that I love in the tight trees of the east coast. I also have a pair of fischer race stocks for truely hard days but I rarely use em. I want to pick up a pair of 90+ mm underfoot medium flex skis for trips out west and when the conditions warrant in the east. I don't want something truely burly since I end up in the bumps alot. I have a list of skis that would work but of course money is a factor as always. So a few skis I am wondering about are the Armada Arvs and the Liberty sb180's. I have used the search function and not found a ton on these skis. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Seth Vicious. They are on the softer side compared to Explosivs/Tankers, but they are definitely stiffer than PRs; I like them alot. The sidecut is pretty substantial, don't know if you are into that. Post your height/weight, that might help.

The Fischers, Mantras, and Apache Chiefs are all skis I am looking at. But have not seen lots of deals yet, its still early though. I had heard the Seth's were soft like PR's. Sidecut does not bother me. I am 5'9" 175.

there's a pair or two of the fischer atuas at sierra snowboard and ski in Ca. They aren't coming up on the webpage but I saw them there the other day. Go to sierrasnowboard.com they have a number you can call and I beleive the skis are 50% off so it's a good deal. Those skis rip btw. You should also consider the 183 Sugar Daddy at your weight it's awesome.

Syntax error = old school, I am all about broken pipes and a poor ability to compile. I did not know those boards where that soft. But thanks for the link that place has some sweet deals. They have big Troubles in the 300-400 range and I believe those are in the mid stiff area. They also have some pretty sweet womens skis deals. My daughter who is 10 and rips hard already needs some boards. On a pow day I demo'd her b3W's and she tore it up so now I am looking for her also. She wants the K2 Missdemeaners but we will see, they have 1080's in the 150 range on ebay for like 175.

ebay just sent me an email with Fischer Wateas, new, $379 + $20 shipping, "buy it now." Good price. Do a search, ask BakerBoy how they ski, could be the ones you're looking for.

Guys I appreciate your help a ton. But why no comments about the original skis I asked about?

Also I think the Bros do look sweet but can they be had for less than 500 bucks? I actually think I know one of the co-owners, or so I am told. Does that get you a discount?

Maybe because nobody knows much about them?

The two skis you mentioned are two of the softest in the category that is the reason nobody is recomending them to you. They're fun skis but very soft.

As far as the Fischers go you don't want the Wateas they only come 192cm 101mm waist. You want the Atua it's the 186cm 96mm waist midstiff ripper. Or if you could find a 180 Prohete that would be dope as well it is 104ish in the waist I beleive and is medium stiff.

Seriously look at the 183 Sugar Daddy too though. You can get them pretty cheap.

Yup.... wayyy soft. Sometimes it seems like when I'm looking at skis in the shop I really can't tell that much of a difference in flex's... That said, I picked up a apair of 999's and I could tell they were noodles - super duper soft..
