Sperm Donation - Why are there ads everywhere?

Every time I open the MIT Tech (the bi-weekly student newspaper) I see those huge ads for sperm donation:

    http://www.cryobankdonors.com/newdonors/index.cfm?ID=4

If the compensation is that good, why do they have to advertise so much? Aren't there enough donors? What are the legal issues?

Donors will be reimbursed $75 per specimen and up to $900 a month by donating 3 times a week. We periodically offer incentives such as movie tickets or gift certificates for extra time and effort expended by participating donors.
heh...they better take me to a movie. I'm not a slut.

SHIT! the market is good there.

in boulder you can only make like 100 a month, and it requires a long-term commitment.

Damn...i mean if you're just gonna flush 'em down the toilet, might as well get some money out of it.

Well for one, they want that high-iq semen of those mit types.

I think it would be pretty weird to possibly be the father of tons of children without knowing it. There is also a thing on the site which says that it may disclose your identitiy to a child you father when the child comes of age if they want to know. Personally, I dont want somebody 19 years down the road knocking on my door claiming to be my kid.

    From the site:
    # If, at the age of eighteen or older, the child of a recipient requests additional information about the genetic father, we will make all reasonable efforts to supply that information either from our records or by attempting to contact the donor.

At $900 a month, you could probably bring your own every now and then.

Either that, or sit on your left hand until it falls asleep.

Wow, there is money in sperm. I'm gonna cut out the middle man and deliver my right to where it needs to go at a discount.

I wonder what the economics of this are ... Maybe I can write a paper about this.
