Aspen/Snowmass Conditions?

Going to be in CO this weekend and thinking of heading out to check out Aspen/Snowmass.

Does anyone have any beta on current conditions?

Specifically, interested in checking out the terrain in the Hanging Valley area and scoping the areas where the freeride comps are held (is that stuff even normally open?).

and if anyone has any pics of the area please post

Best conditions in a decade. Locals are just shaking their heads.

Raddam can provide you with what you are seeking. Probably not much fresh this week, but cold temps make CO snow some of the best reusable snow in the world.

Hey Pinner,

It was a bit hectic over the holidays trying to cram in some skiing between trips to the emergency room with our baby, but I want you to know that we did get some of the fabled backcountry sled-accessed terrain that I have spewed about, and it was sick. One day was almost 14K vert of just plain heaven.

Ask Shredhead if you have any lingering skepticism - we'll get it some time, I promise.
