Between your knee and your wrist fractures, you may have osteopenia/osteoporosis.
You should ask your doctor to get you a bone density test.

after your first surgery when you were on crutches did your foot turn purple & go numb right away? If so how long did that last. I am 4wks after surgery and cant be on crutches long because foot goes purple cold & numb within a minute of standing up. I am glad to hear you have finally recovered what a journey you had.

Icequeen, you may want to ask your doctor about using compression socks. I had a tib/fib fracture with multiple surgeries to get it back together, and was in one of those white compression socks for 5 months. From what I heard, your leg muscles help out with circulation in your lower extremeties quite a bit. When you're not using your leg muscles (when you're on crutches), the blood will tend to pool and cause swelling. The compression socks helped me a tremendous amount.
