    Explosiv tip delam/seperation

Not sure when it happened, but i noticed today that the lower metal layer adhered to the base is seperating from the rest of the ski for the first 2 cm or so at the tip. It's not really a delam since the bases are still stuck to the metal sheet, but with the construction i imagine this might be a common problem, so i figure someone has dealt with it before. im thinking epoxy followed by 3 rivets (make it match me PE's) but i'm not sure yet.

and no, i didnt run a search first, so JONG away if this has been addressed previously.

    any help would be appreciated.
No, the real point is, I don't give a damn

Are they the wizards? This was somewhat common on those. Your plan of epoxy plus rivets is the best way to solve it, assuming they're not under warranty.

    yea, wizards.

I epoxied and went with 2 t-nuts. I definitly think this will work, I might just do the other one too before it does the same..

I'm sure they're way past warrany, and even if they werent I would rather keep the wizards then replace them with a mantra.

we'll see how this turns out.

Same thing happened to me while dealing with a bent tip:

JB weld, clamp, good as new.

X2 on the epoxy, and clamp overnight, warm temps. To get the epoxy to flow into the void, heat it when "wet" with a hairdryer (thanks for this tip, Splat). Use 24-hour epoxy. Use blue painter's tape to keep the epoxy where you want it, and put a bit of tape on the contact points of the clamp so you don't end up epoxying the clamp to the ski.

I had a tip start to delam on my wife's 173cm purple buddha Explosivs, and used this method to stop it from spreading. So far so good.
