    Joshbu,

I beg to differ!! just got back from 'tal, after skiing 6 inches of fresh fluff, pretty much face shots in the vicinity of the SnakeDance rope line. ;-o)) It is still 0-5 degrees up there. I expect the eastern influence will hang, and give us another nuclear day tomorrow. Meanwhile it is close to 30 degrees at Crystal and Baker. Winds were whipping still up top, so they closed C1 at 9:30 for an hour to bomb the wind loaded areas. Too bad, but we still got about 5 T to B's. All untracked, nobody there!!

Maggots, meet us at C1 early! Bring avy gear and we'll shread 'er up...Gold N Face parka, grey bibs, old Kreitler's, snowy beard....pow eatin' grin...

Shot is of The Tooth, Pineapple Pass is to its left, from there is where Dan Witkowski failed to ski back to the area, and survived a harrowing 5 days and 4 nights lost in very gnarly terrain...unfiortunately he may end up short some fingers and or toes

Very dry snow, but on top of an icy crust. We got a couple runs and a lot of tears (5 degrees is tough for a 4 year old who weighs 35 lbs all wet) and that's it.

All, be careful in the BC in the next few days. Lots of wind loading going on right now.

Be careful on the streets too. I slid my wife's minivan, and it has ice-rated winter tires. Of course, the !@$_!@&$!@$_%!@#$ guy who started right in front of my car helped me not drive as smoothly as I wanted. And he had the nerve to flip me the bird and yell when I honked to warn him we were about to collide. That didn't help with my concentration either. I guess having the $$$ to afford living on the lake doesn't necessarily mean decent persons.

The highway to Alpental was very decent, up and down, except for high winds and people driving in the wrong lane.

Eh, just pisses me off that they waited until 12:30 at UW to cancel school. I had a Bio Lab and couldn't leave until they canceled school. Anyways, ended up playing snow football after sledding down 54th (total carnage).

RE: Alpental BC- I haven't been back there yet. I don't have a beacon so I'm not playing this year.
