Z and D-side competed today. Also wondering how Paul Zaleski did. Bueller?

    Dside and Z killed it.

On Saturday Dside flashed a nasty fast double and easily qualified for the championships. He pretty much just pointed and aired the venue in two taps. He said it was so fast that he didn't even remember hitting the second drop. Z changed his line last minute, and with only directions radioed up to him from Dside meant to air ~40 feet right below Two Trees. However, Z got a little lost and just decided to send it. He ended up sending it something over 70 feet (there was a 50ft banner for reference and he took off well above it and landed easily 20 feet below it) and threw in a grab for good measure. He skied out of his bomb-hole and into second place. It was the biggest air of the day and very sicktarded.

Both threw down nasty lines during the championship today, but I am not sure what the final places were. The Burn venue is also much more complex, so I not going to do play-by-play either. Suffice to say, these two balls out ripped it this past weekend.

Z threw down the gauntlet this weekend! 70 feet easily. Stylie Z-signature safety grab held for like 5 minutes. Two of his scorecards read SICKBIRD in the comments section. Seeing him stand up on the podium next to Kiffor Berg was sick. Way to go, bro - this is why I ski with you. Thanks for upping the ante - it's fuckin on now.

Daryl Haggard is a disgusting human being. Doubled the triple. Whoa.

This comp was running on HIGH OCTANE this year. 40 people scored in the 30's or above in quali's. Last year was not like that.

Every time I go the Snowmass I am blown away by how much fun that hill is. I want to live there.

The MVP of the weekend was definitely FigureEleven. Fkn dude put Z and I up in some great accomodations, helped me scope out my line, and just is an all around great guy. Next time I am in Snowmass, it will be to make turns with a new friend. Thanks a lot dude.

Nice work boys. It must have been impressive considering some of the lines I saw, briefly, thrown down yesterday.

We both skied XXX into the Carrot Chute, which had a line score of 8. Once again, Z made his line decision in the start gate. He killed the top part - techy, exposed pillow drops, but threw a shoe on the straightline out due to an unexpected drop and a brush with a stump enema. His skiing was top notch as always, and the error was due only to the fact that he didn't know the line well - a factor that scored him second place the day before.

I skied my line well, but could have been cleaner. I was happy, though. I moved up 6 places to 26.

Z was bumped back to 24th cuz he ditched a ski. We figured out that had he not fallen, and got my score, he would have stayed in the top 5. He was SOOO close to making that happen. SSSSOOOOO CLOSE.... Comps are a bitch like that. So much can go wrong considering the burl of the lines and the level you try to ski them at. The odds are against you that you will finish two runs cleanly.

In a pack like that, where everyone rips (and I mean everyone), I am happy with my finish and look forward to improving on it. Despite the shit sandwich he ate in the very end of the second run, Z slayed it, and has the potential to win one of these things - No doubt. A bummer, but also a glimpse of things to come.

This weekend was unreal. And not only because of the free beer, even though that had alot to do with it.

Sitting at the bar after day 1 the weirdest thing ever happened. They called my name for 2nd place. You're actually going to give me money for skiing?? HOLY SHIT. Surreal.

Dside absolutely destroyed his line in the Burn. Super exposed pillow drops, and he got first tracks down it. Friggin smooth. Definitely one of the coolest lines of the day. I actually think he should have scored a bit better, nobody wanted to touch his line, even though it was blantantly obvious in XXX. Fuckin steep, and dood killed it not knowing for sure if the pillow would hold or drop out on him. Props.

I'm still bummed i couldn't hold it together in my run, I was in such good position to stay up top, but i just didn't have it in me. Huck-neck can be very annoying. I was the 2nd to last person to go, and Kiffor was last. I skied my run and went under triple drop to watch him. Holy shit this guy is strong. He stomped the first part of triple drop, bout 40 feet, and it sounded like hell. SLAM!! Right to the hardpack. Got up did the second part. SLAM!! Stomped the third and he was out. That guy can take a hit. Damn. I think I need to hit the weightroom.
    Drive slow, homie.

I should have realized this earlier, Z, but I'm really sad I haven't gotten to see you ski anything for real this season. Next season, I will bring my camera and you can ski some gnarly lines while I watch.

    Btw, FUCKING CONGRATS, DUDES!!!
