I skied right off the point where those dudes are standing yesterday afternoon. I couldn't believe no one had hit that sweet and steep line. Really deep and steep pow. In fact it felt like Alaska, for like, 6 turns! I even took a group of kids ranging from 7 to 12 down it after me. No avys reported.
Were you sporting Bros yesterday, Vets? I thought I saw a pair in the Grandview lift line.

So right at the bottom of that line you slog skiers left and walk out. Did you go up to the chute, or around to the traverse? We broke a skin path on Saturday, was a path cut still there?

We took the higher traverse out of there which led us to the little cliff section, which seemed especially little this year. The normal bouldery appearance was long since buried in the March magic. We hit it, bashed it, bombed it and side slipped it (yes, all of the above). And then followed the tract out the rest of the way to Castle. With our mixed group the entire run took an hour! Thanks for putting in the tract, it looked like some hard work after those storms. It's a bitch when you have to walk a downhill traverse, but usually worth it.

Yes I was. Did a recon mission on each of the 5 BC gates. Steep, deep, and lots of untouched lines. I'll definitely be back to explore more.
    Do you work at Sierra?
