Alta continues to deliver like no other

Thanks go to Harpo for the pm off; I put it too good use.

Patrol was so nice to hold off on opening the backside until I got there and had a couple of warm up laps. Thanks guys!!

Tourons are finally gone now and us locals dominate once again; like being up there with a hundred of your best buds.

No natty in site and too bad for him cause there was buff to be had everywhere with fresh lines till after the final bell.

Got another monkey off my back from last season by hitting the Dog Leg. Super fun line!!! I love the feeling coming outta there and arcing a big, phat turn with hips low, powering out the G's. Too much fun!!

Ballroom didn't open today and it looked good. Patrol didn't have the vis in the morning and not enough time in the afternoon after getting backside open at 1:30. Castle still hasn't opened in like 150" or some un-Godly amount like that.

Between the climbing this past summer and skiing with DTM this past month, alot of lines are looking more and more do-able and fun to do as well. Missed him today and it felt a little lonely up there without him after hitting it hard the past couple of weeks.

So many lines are filling in up there right now that haven't in so long it is un-real. Every chair ride is like a kid in a candy store; "Ooo I want to ski that line, and that line and that line" So good right now. Forecast is for a couple weeks of high pressure so some touring might be in order.

Also bid farewall to Cameltoe and his Toothless Wonder friend; they'll be back for more in Feburary like moths to a light.

Driving down the canyon today, I found myself looking at and thinking about some lines at the Bird that I've been wanting to ski - might just have to upgrade to the Dually and go git 'em.

Missed you today X, I went over to snowbasin with a few friends and found some untracked pow along with long, grueling shots of breakable crust. Fun day. Back at alta tomorrow am, then spinning laps with Z at the bird in the pm.
Should be deep in the castle when they open it up!

Get the dually and do it up. There's no other pass I'd rather have than a year like this. And get Powstash over there more often- he's needs to make more appearances in LC.

I am supposed to be there a week from Friday - we'll see.

You better have that A-game well-tuned cuz I'm bringing it.

    hopefully skiing -

[Me, at my first day at new job this am after 2+ weeks in CO:] "hey, I think I'll be out of the office next Friday as I'll be skiing Alta. Is that cool?"

    It is better than sex

It doesn't get better than the last few weeks at Alta and the other Wasatch mountains. As I was taking one of my last shots down Lone Pine on Saturday, a women skier in front of me yelled "this is like an orgasm". I just wanted to kiss her, but she jumped of the cat track and ripped to the bottom.

Well, it's Tuesday, and my legs have stopped quivering from adrenaline from the last few weeks. Work is slow, so I am going up to the worship at the church of the falling POW for the afternoon.

Any maggots going up, call on cell 801-231-6076, let's rip.

i agree with xover. i can't believe how good it is, still. skiing this morning was amazing, even if it was just the shoulder opening.
