I read (can't remember where) about a browser someone is developing for use in places like china that ensure your privacy and bypasses filter software. Anyone know what I'm talking about.

Firefox. Used to be adamant about using IE, but Firefox freaking rules.

Realplayer has taken over, but I have tried to restore that to media player 10.0.9..928.niner (or whatever the latest is).

    firefox
    debian sarge
    xine or totem for video

but there really is no embedded video player available for linux (except flash based players). So if i want to see a video, i either have to rely on a download link or i just read the page source to find the name of the video then download it.
