I already saw the report/weather thread so I won't ask about that other than has there been much thaw/refreeze going on? I am in Big Sky right now and am splitting off from my group to go to JH Wed after I finish riding here that day. I am getting a room for that night and then if it is good I may stay and ride Friday too and then drive back here to pack and leave after that. The point is that I was hoping some people might want to ride Thurs. and Fri. since I will be alone. I know my way around the mountain (inbounds) pretty well at this point other than the hike to areas past the Headwall, but it would still be good to ride with some people other than myself. I won't have net access after I leave here tomorrow afternoon, so if you want to get up PM and I will send my cell number. Also, does anyone know a cheaper place to stay than the Motel 6 for $31. I found that price on Orbitz and figured that was about as good as it gets.

I would try the hostel - it's right in the village so you can't beat the location and think it's even cheaper - might be full but the number is (307) 733-3415

i stayed at the hostel and had a great time, it wasn't crowded, like five people! be nice to marsha if she is still there, she loves to talk so watch out for that. BTW, 25 bucks a night. don't worry about mat the weight lifter, real quiet but won't harm you. ha ha ha

Sorry man, looks like you'll be missing me by a day as I'm not arriving until Saturday. Hopefully there'll be some mags around to ride with. Just try to save some powder for me.
I think that the human mind is unique among all other forms of life in that it can spontaneously create unique thoughts and provide unique behaviors. Instead of rewarding that uniqueness we, for some reason probably because of cultural and social necessity, we chastise unique behavior and reward conformity.
