Hey Skieast, how did that photo turn out of that pillow line you took that I skied? Oh and Samwich, Toby told me to tell you that I skied "your line" . AKA the big ass pillow line that drops down to the Blackcomb glacier cat track.
I was too far away to get any detail, here's what came out.

Great skiing with you as well. I'm out of here, back to Montreal today. Are you doing the Fernie comp? If so, good luck.

Id say you nailed it SkiEast! give me a shout next time your in town.

great pics from yesterday guys, what a day! I was a powder intoxication victim and missed the lightboard meeting. Met Samwhich lapping the peak chair and we nailed some sweet lines; Exhilaration, Kaybers and Elwyns cirque*

Im stoked the snow gods have blessed maggots travelling from afar with lots of fresh powder.

See y'all up there at noon!

*Elwyn's Cirque.... go into Glacier Bowl Cirque but instead of following everyone else down the ramp, hang a left and go straight towards the middle or maybe bottom of the East Face. Elwyn's Pillow or Powderbank is the left traverse that takes you to the bottom section of east face.

Powder11, great skiing with you as well. I found a few new lines, great fun.

We mostly lapped Robertsons and Harveys yesterday, fantastic snow. Most of the shots were done in that area.

We did one lap up Flute, untracked coming down one of the chutes, then an Excitation, ending with a not quite Khybers run down to Creekside.

And another in the pillow drop sequence.

You guys can thank me for making sure that the good snow went your way this week instead of towards Jackson!

Some of those pics look like the Lee Cohen Alta pics. Snorkel much?

Thanks all for posting those pics.
I was supposed to be out there with the MtnMan group but sadly had to cancel due to a knee injury and surgery this past Tuesday.

As hard as the photos are to see, they sure are awesome. Glad you all got dumped on and glad the Snow Gods were good to you!

We're back in Calgary now. What a great trip! Met and skied with so many awesome Maggots. Spdfrk, Droopy, Brklyntrayc (our Summit ski goddess), Pow11, Mtnman, Skieast, Up and Down, Dodger, Rollgybe & Reed, Pulver, etc.

Special props to Leelau and his wife Sharon. After skiing with us during the day, Lee went home and worked into the evenings while us Maggots hit the bars and restaurants. Dedication above and beyond the call. Thanks Lee.

BTW, anyone who wants one of the photos I took of them in this thread should PM me with an email address. I can send you an image large enough to make prints. (Up to 8x10 or 11x14, depending on whether I cropped the original photo.)

yes, all east coasters rip in pow, we train in tight icy trees, give us deep snow and open terrain, we rip it up!

Back in Montreal, great trip, new friends, new places to ski, thanks to all.

Lee and Sharon and Toby, thanks for the guiding, come to Tremblant sometime and I'll show you my favourite ice bumps. On second thought, I'll just keep coming out to your neck of the woods.

Yeh, it was great skiing with everyone, special thanks to Powder11 (Toby) and Lee and wife Sharon for guiding us to the goods. Oh and Athan, although it was a very short guided trip

Never skiied so fast for such a sustained time as when skiing with maggots.

whew, got home from the summit and I'm tired and it was awesome! Just great skiing and hanging with everyone. I headed up on Thursday and spent three great days scarfing the pow that the storm brought us.

Skied Fresh Tracks with pow 11 then hit Peak which opened up after being closed Weds. Waterfall was going off pretty large.

hooked up with Lee and his big group after lunch, here's Lee

    smerham

    Flute

mainly tried to get shots of the photographer LeeLau when I could, he's a good slut too

Saturday I hooked up with Squirrel, Arty50, Bomber, and new mag Yassi(boardname?). Too bad we were missing Bomber's husband Brian (rehabit). He's recovering from knee surgery and went slednecking instead. For us, Blackcomb was the ticket with a hike into Corona on the agenda. Definitely rates as one of my coolest runs and best ski experiences ever. I was in awe how gorgeous it was. Thanks for leading squirrel, you know yer the man right!

As we reached the top, the view into the backcountry was spectacular

Arty skis into the backside as we head around back to Corona

Sarah (Bomber) makes her way up the final pitch to corona

Husume looking a little more tracked out than our target.

Yassi looking pretty happy to be here

Squirrel and Art climb a bit higher up Corona

here goes Bomber into the land of smoke and money (Arty & Tim wait below)

    A new perspective on Spankys

Squirrel traversing out for some more

Arty still milking the pow as the end of our descent nears

we get to admire our handiwork

Later on Arty straightlines it into Sapphire Bowl

    Squirrel's on his heels

bombed around to finish the day up, buzzing with energy from an excellent day.
