for anyone who thinks he can't ski, watch the waiting game. he rips in it. then watch it again, cause the pow segments are soooo deep.

His segment really impressed me. I am not into huge cliff hucks and landing on one's side, but I have always noticed some excellent skiing in his segments apart from the giant hucks.

He had a pretty cool segment in Booter Crunk, which mostly sucked, but in his segment he skied some pretty sweet lines, showing he's a great skier and can do much more than big cliffs.
fuck anybody who says he can't ski, you guys just hate on this guys cause your jealous you don't have the size balls he has. watch the waiting game and watch stimulus from rage films, he proves he can rip. anybody who says the guy can't ski should kill themselves. stop hating on this guy cause your jealous of him. fucking pussies
I was just out walking the dogs in the park behind my house, and ran into him walking his lab and dalmation. It's a pow day in the Wasatch, but a cloudy one. Maybe he'll be out hucking when the weather clears.
Maybe I should have gotten his opinion on all this.

I had the pleasure of meeting and skiing with Jamie this past weekend at Solitude. He was there filming Monopalooza with Tom Day from Warren Miller Productions. Jamie (following in Jeremy Nobis' footsteps) was learning how to monoski. His first runs were on my Aluflex PHI. He got half way down the run realizing it was way too agressive for a beginner. Nobis had the same problem. We (ChronicSkiCo) put him on something a little easier. I never saw Jamie ski on alpines that weekend but he was very good at debriefing what he was experiencing on a monoski. Half way through the day he was linking turns and learning to not roll his ankles through a turn.
The next day he was jumping a 25 footer.
Jamie was there out of his passion for skiing and trying something new. Not collecting a paycheck or trying to keep his name in lights. I'm stoked I got to meet him and ski with him. He's totally laid back and approachable and I don't blame him for retiring the big hucks.

So you are saying he gave up hucking for monoskiing?
C. O. R. E.
Dude. Monoskis. Really.
This could be the greatest thing I've ever read on this site.
Somebody call Bogner and see if they have a new spokesmodel who loves Jeebus.
Jamie, is it true you're giving up hucking?Originally Posted by gregb2212

I'm sure his "decision" to give up falling off too high of places was related to his fear of "hey where the fuck did I leave my keys? Oh they're in the ignition of the car I'm driving. Heh, concussions is cool." Climbing the corporate ladder of falling of higher and higher shit has to have a realization to even to most impacted of folks after a while. Hell I screwed the landing off my daughters new bunk beds top bunk after story time the other night and realized a 38 year old has no business up there.
The more I think about this monoskiing thing, the more brilliant it seems to become.
In any case, I suspect this thread could move to the next level with revelations of this caliber. That is a sick avatar White Knuckle.

The Phi is so cool looking it almost makes me want to monoski again. Really.
That monoski post has to be a troll. Monoskiing for Warren Miller? Come on.
It be the truth. Warren Miller Productions sent out Tom Day and JP to Solitude to learn how to monoski. Pics are on Lateral Pressure. No reason to make this shit up, we get flipped enough of it as it is.

So what is that? Just sticking your hands down your pants?Originally Posted by iceman
One thing that really impressed me was when Jamie in one of the TGR flicks (High Life I think) was jibbing onto trees and using them to flip him around. Not only did it take some balls, but it was really creative, which is sometimes lacking from skiing.
I would have enjoyed it even more if he had stuck with it till he could actually land those jumps on his feet.
