There's an article in the lastest Skiing magazine about Jamie's world record jump, and at the end of the article, he is quoted as saying,
"I got it out of my system", he says, "I'm done. I'll never jump another cliff over 50 feet." -Jamie Pierre

I guess a 245ft bonk on the head would make anyone think twice about doing something like that again. Sorta like your first hangover..... I'll never ever do this again... then the next week you're back at it.
<insert mango spewing geisha here to end another silly thread>
...And the greatest ice must crumble when it's flower's time to grow.
I bet in time he'll still be hucking 100 footers.
I can't count the number of times I've sworn of climbing, or some other activity, only to start again after some time.

He took alot of flack from his family for his stunt, and I can't blame him for settling down now that his wife is expecting if I recall.
I can him not hucking anything over 100 ft. anymore, but 50 ft?
Didn't he say that anything under 50 ft. isn't worth it?
either way if he stops hucking huge cliffs that could be the demise of his career seeing that it is mostly agreed that he lacks the skiing skills of his peers and that the reason he gets segments is because he hucks huge shit.
...expecting an 11 month old at home, that is...
old news, though I agree with Trackhead...![]()
Maybe gawd told him to quit bugging him to keep him safe.
He consults him so regularly.
Ya, I wonder if he'll be back at it or not...
Tippster is "done with this subject."

Then why read and respond in the post about this topic?Originally Posted by Tippster
It was more of a declaration than a response, really. A Fatwa, if you will.
maybe pierre can focus on becoming a better skier now.

Is this about the point when someone posts a totally offensive and disturbing picture of someones abnormal sex organs?
I'm pretty sure it's because he felt like it. Is that okay with you?Originally Posted by Powdurr
the second response is only meta-related to the first response, which was the declaration. he's clean.
i don't see why you would post a thread just to pick on other's opinions in it. if you've got your own why not state it in the beginning?
i guess he is done getting parts in ski movies then...so i guess he is also done with sponsorships, and i guess that means he will also fade out as a pro skier.
Cruise-ships of choice:
It's totally cool. I just find it funny. No worries.Originally Posted by iceman
And, I guess we'll see what will happen with Jamie's career. I think he's a great skier, and would like to see him in some more films. Maybe he will get more sponsors now, as they won't be so hesitant to invest in someone who may die at any time doing huuuge cliffs.
Your amusement is my manna. It sustains me in these dark times of no more skiing for the fucking year.

All you guys that say he can't ski: Where do you get your information? Just because his thing is going giganto-big doesn't mean he can't also ski well.
I smell bandwagon bullshit.
vapor lock - bitch.
Given that his "career" had him struggling to make enough money to live on, that's probably a good thing. If he's going to risk his life, at least he should get paid more than the greeters at WalMart.Originally Posted by BRUTAH
