    Longboard/retro day- Kirkweed Jan 2004

With the impending January meltdown, I hereby throw the gauntlet down for longboard/retro day that Greydon Clark suggested.

    Requirements:
    1) DH boards at least 210cm
    2) Ski clothing manufactured and sold brand new during either the Carter or Reagan Administration. (stretch pants, one pieces, headbands, etc)

    Venue:
    Chair 4

On a related note- look at what I scored on eBay for $20. I said to myself "Wow! That looks like a low-profile tip!"

    Question um...

    ^

    and...

Regarding requirement #1, what about non-shaped skis instead of 210s? Or skis that were manufactured during the Reagan years? Can I still hang with you 80s freakz if I don't have 210s? As a jong, I haven't gone past 170s yet.

Oh, and what day in Jan. will this occur?

    Chair 4?!

only if its to access one-man, soul searcher, etc.

    to paraphrase Sir Greydon Clark:

the goal of long board day is not to see who can prove the old addage, "short skis suck, long skis truck", true on some icy groomers. Long board day is about skiing lines, like we did this past weekend, on old school gear. Therefore there is no need to wait for a meltdown.

I'll be on the boards, but not in the clothes....er I mean, I'll be IN clothes, just not the old school ones
