Poll: How much time do you spend comtemplatinf :"What if" scenarios?

I don't catastrophes- I mean work/life dating stuff. Ex: today a customer asked me how many shares he has traded w/ me over the last few months (It's kinda complicated, but I'm a broker of sorts). So I'm thinking: what if he thinks he used me too much? too little? what if he wants a different rate? What if he's doing a coparitive study of his executions? What if blahblahabahblah?

Seems like a fuckign waste of time to me, but I can;t stop!

I spend so much time I can't do anything else

I say fuggit and get on with my life

I act on the most likely scenarios blindly without knowing they will in fact pan out

i have no idea what you are talking about

Life is too short for that shit.

Edit for: not that I think your problems are shit. I'm just saying the worrying part is shit.

Worrying about shit you have no control over.
If you are just thinking about it, then no biggie.
But if you are working yourself into a frenzy worrying about it and trying to figure out a way to fix it, you are wasting precious time here on this planet.

Um, what does it matter -- if the answer hurts you are you going to lie to the guy? If he wanted to trade less if he had traded too much and you change the number and he finds out he's not going to trade with you at all. In cases like that I always tell the truth and then defend the truth as best I can.

I do sometimes when trying to get to sleep. It's kinda handy though - forewarned it forearmed and all that.

Do you realize that you've just posted an admission of ignorance so breathtaking that it disqualifies you from commenting on any political or economic threads from here on out?

Oh it's not even an option to lie. That's not the question.

Right- this kind of thinking is why all the scenarios run through my head-

    Your answer should have been,

" not enough, take 10 thousand now! "

End of story and the poll, hopefully.

I definitely do it too much...but I always end up saying "fuggit" and simply move on anyway.
