    Alpine Goodness on Friday

Well...another TR. Started first chairs on Roundhouse doing laps while the crowd at Summit waited. About 9:45 they loaded it but since the line was big and I was finding plenty of untracked all over (bottom of Our Father, Waterfall and past and Gunners.) About the time I was going to head over to Summit, they shut it down, and it never re-opened.

Kept doing laps thinking that only Roundhouse was open, because the sign at its bottom said the backside was closed. Then about noon I heard a guy in line say Sherwood was open so I went back. FKNA...Arts, the Cliffs Expert's Cut Off all were loaded with thigh plus goodness. Me and the Explosives, hands in front, torso down the fall line ripping the pow.

Tomorrow will be epic. It snowed all day and still is. Scotts and Alpine Bowl never opened and Summit was only open for about an hour. I looked for but never saw the other maggots, but did get the usual funny looks to my requests for change.

Hey Tuffy, Freshies and others.....see you tomorrow maybe.

    I might be there

I know what you mean, it was a great day. Don't know if ill be at squaw or alpine tomorrow, but if you see a young guy on long old school pocket rockets, grey jacket, orange dakine pack, Giro Helmet, oakly goggles, rocking out to enya(you know you love it!) in the sumit six line at like 8:30, thats me and i'd welcome a ski partner
Three fundamentals of every extreme skier, total disregard for personal saftey, amphetamines, and lots and lots of malt liquor......-jack handy

Irul, Not a thread hijack, just to many Alpine threads already so I thought I would just add to yours. Most excellent today indeed. We got off to a rough start when the access road shut for avi control right in front of us. Even with the delay, we managed to score 4 incredibly deep runs on summit before it closed. After that, one run on Roundhouse and then to yellow. I have never really explored the nooks off of this chair and I was pleasantly surprised. We kept hitting the shoulder that drops into hot wheels. Face shots galore! We started calling it foxy's after the lifty at yellow. Back to roundhouse and the crowds had thinned and we were able to get free refills on every run until the quads gave out. I wish I would have read the alpine Friday roll call thread before I went as I know I saw several of you. Freshies, I may have bumped into on the way out of the pisser. At least someone on Spats with a silver helmet. Also, saw pontoons twice. Irul, it was a great day but now that I know the back side was open, it somehow diminishes it a little for me?! Anyway, to good and to cold for many pics but here are a few:
