    EC Mini: Jay Conditions Report

Mit and I did some reconnaisance work today. There might be some shoddy pics to post, but bottom line: it was good. My best day there this season (December was good, but a bit less base). We scored quite a few continuous, fresh, boot-to-knee deep turns through the woods and it was all light.

Didn't make it up to the Ridge, but the Saddle looked filled in and the apron looked as good as it has to date (which isn't really saying much since it's been pretty ugly all season...)

Oh yeah, and it was snowing lightly most of the afternoon and getting heavier when we left.

Sick and ashamed and happy (and raise your hand if you'll be there Saturday),

There weren't many good pictures from yesterday cause we were too busy actually skiing for once. You have to take advantage of it when you can.

Dude, why are you always trying to make the snow look deeper by posting a telemarker in mid turn with sick snow spray action? We all know Jay Peak over inflates their snow totals.

The snow should be pretty good. I skied Jay last sunday, and it was the best it has been all season. Plus they have been getting a couple inches each night this week, so Big Jay should hopefully pay some dividends.

    Entschuldigung.

Tough to see previous posts when I'm blinded by my crouch-induced spray.

I'm actually only 3'6 and since I lost my job as a dwarf bowling ball I needed a new job. Now i'm new spancered by Jay to make it look deep (The added spray is just cause I'm steezy)

This is all true. Mit's steeziness often causes uncontrollable spraying.

Sick and ashamed and happy (and always feel like a big man when I ski with him),

I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't just see it!

The meteorologist on the Weather Channel's "Storm Watch" just used the word "SHELEIGHLEE" in his report. I'll try to quote what he said for all you lucky mother f'&$^#$ that are in North Vermont tonight:

he said, and I'll try to quote:

"...if you want to know where to go skiing in New England tonight,
    go to JAY PEAK!
they are going to get SHELEIGHLEE'D tonight and end up with a foot or more of snow..."

Someone with the cable on their computer has to record that (IT WILL BE REPEATED ALL NIGHT, right??) and have put it online - that was a CLASSIC Jay Peak promo right there!

Jay rocks! Try not to tell anybody, though!!!

Ill be there on sat, the half drunk guy with the pocket rockets and naxos, reeking of pbr, doing laps in the pond and dropping off the backside of big jay once or twice, give me a holler if you see me, ill show you some shit you've never seen!
Mabye i'm not really poor, if I sold all my ski stuff and season passes i'd be rich; but I can't do that, I made promises...
