With all of the great carbon options, how did you settle on a Trek?
Serious Q, just wondering. Fit? Price? The Lance Effect?
I'm looking at a Giant or an Orbea....
Fit and price.
I tested an Orbea last year (Orca I think) and loved it but the Madone just fit better. I actually liked the Orbea's ride better than the 2005 Madone (2006 is supposed to be better) as it was just a bit more plush. I like that the Trek is still built in the USA as well. The deal sealer was the pricing (a good friend works for Trek) and the Project One option, custom paint is just too cool and it really limits any Lance effect in my bike.
Sweet bike, I'm jealous even though I kind of saving up for a slick triathlon/TT bike.

Crinkle, if you go to the porject one site and build it out it would be the the dot pattern with orange dots, carbon black middle, black front and rear.

post pics when you get her!!
Ty, pics are a must. So stoked to get a new ride. Been 10 years since I've bought a new bike, the old Yeti Road Pro will be reserved for special occaisons only now.

I love mine too, and am stoked on the Disco colors instead of red/white/blue . . . kinda bummed that AK roads don't seem too well suited for riding, but oh well. I'm sure I'll still get out a bit, or make a tripThere's plenty else to stay busy with 'round these parts

I guess the real stoke is that you'll be out there getting fit for real and ready to tackle next year with healthy ligaments and tendons!!!![]()

Congrats on the new two-wheeler, the Madone is very cool.
Looking at my trusty old Waterford Paramount, I'm thinking it might be time to make her a special occasion bike like your Yeti.
