It tasted poor. In fact straigth after the crash my first thought was that I was missing all my teeth because there was a load of loose bark between them and my tongue which felt like loose tooth-roots... Anyway, I am laughing about it already.

Str8: southern Utah sounds amazing I would love to go there; never been so far. Indian Creek is on my to-visit list fo' sho'. At the moment I am just waiting to see how the night goes before deciding what to do next. Still hoping to get to Seattle and Whistler. Will stay in touch about what we choose to do though.

    Holy shit Al! Goddam...bummer.

Well, like everyone else, I'm glad to hear just a short bit of recovery and you'll be fine. Glad to hear it wasn't any worse mang.

And great meeting you and the Ms. Mulletizer last week. Hopefully next time it will be on snow...and we'll have skis on our feet...and we'll be at the top of a mountain...high above the trees ...

"GodDAMN, you the Mulletizer Biiitch! An' you jus' got bitchslapped by a tree!! Get up offa you sorry ass and ski down after I take this picture."

Nah actually Ms. Mullet and I skied up, checked to see if he was OK and not flat out. He seemed mostly alright, though a bloody mess, so I hemmed and hawed a bit, going uh-uh-uh then we all realized it would be best if we just skied the fuck down to the trailhead. Mullet said, "OK, but get the picture first, then we get the hell outta here".

Trackhead, I was thinking of going to AltaView, or even St. Marks, but called the U ER first (have the # memorized), and it just so happened my friend Rob was attending, so I figured that would be most expeditious - we zipped down there and got him in a room in record time. I guessed he'd need plastics or ENT to get some work in, and not all the hospitals have those guys on call all the time.

Pretty impressive work by the plastics/ENT guy. Kinda fun to assist, hadn't done that kinda stuff for awhile. Damn, I'd never seen anybody's jawbone before - at least not while they were alive.

Holy , glad you are alright. Those are pretty amazing pics of the crash sequence, though. In some sick twisted way its got to be pretty cool to look at for you, no? Glad you are in good spirits (or all hopped up on morphine)

Nice work Tri-U. You take the guy on a tour, beat him up and then you feel bad so you fix him in the ER. I see how you work.

Hope you're feeling better mang. Wicked gnarly (feeling east coast tonight)

Man, an innocuous looking sapling can do all that damage.

Heal up fast, Al. That's a bummer. You kind of look like Bode in the shot where you're on one foot.

The post surgery shots look more like Chas after he set his head on fire by throwing a cup of petrol into a carburettor.

Ah ha, Monsiour Moollette, I see what the score is. You were envious of my gnar battlescar in Chamonix and thought you'd go one better. The moral: try to out-gnar Mrs Gnar and things get nasty

Poor you. You're unrecognisable in the 'post-stitch up' pictures. Is Marina mopping your brow and feeding you liquidised steak through a straw?

I love this shot. It just has this feeling of impending doom.

Seriously though, sorry about the carnage man, but glad you aren't too jacked over. Hope you can still salvage some good times out of your trip.

That doesnt look like it felt too hot. Must have been all that wide open skiing the day before that had you looking for trees yesterday.... Sorry to hear about it, but if you are up for it, looks like a pow day in Utah again tommorrow. Let me know, you know how to reach me

Wow, +++ to all. I want a Tri-U to ski with: he'll show you the local goods, document disaster, and help pick up the pieces all in one nice package.

Mulletizer, hope you heal good. Beer vs. meds is a tough choice for anyone to make.

Didn't realize trees were on the menu when I read this thread title.

Sorry to hear about the injury and the pain, but stoked to hear you're gonna be fine and are in good spirits (even more stoked on the sequence shot - good work tri-ung).

Sick and ashamed and happy (and how does this effect your "posh" status?),
