What Rivers/Creeks Are You Most Stoked About?

nice to see some stoke for colorado creeks! The runs I am most looking forward to this season are:

old:
oh be

black rock & lower clear creek at high h2o
south saint vrain (gotta love the afterwork mank)

new:
routt county creeks
upper north saint vrain

Yeah, that's me. The picture was taken a couple of years ago. You can't run that line anymore (and most walked it then... really looked like you were going to headcheck that log as you were going off the drop). Someone tried to cut that old growth tree out and ended up blocking the right line. But, you can run the falls on the left now. Bummer, the riverbed in Horseshoe (hole just upstream) shifted and recently it has been eating people, so many walk that now. Just when one line opens up another becomes a walk. Kinda weird.

Paddled day 1 for 2006. It was 225 cfs, 45 degees and overcast. We took a 30 pack of Bud for three of us and went to El Rancho afterwards. Great Day!

Speaking of the WS/LWS area, check out some friends of mine helping lots of rubber get down the Truss last weekend, courtesy of huckinhuge.com. Includes a no swim raft decent of big brother.

I can't focus on snow either, but I'm stoked for anything I can paddle right now. It looks like I'll be spending a lot of time at different reversing falls along the coast of Maine. Hopefully Bear and Frenchmans will run late, because they both look like they would be a bunch of screwing around interspersed with falls to make me step up my game quickly. Oh and for old stuff I'd like to keep running would be Royal Gorge as it gets bigger.

KTW is supposed to bringing his car back to school so finding a shuttle vehicle won't involve harassing everyone around us anymore.

Yeah Fletch. It's rocking at a solid 700 right now. The upper is still pretty fun though. Cascade is 68% and it's still snowing up high. Don't think we're going to have 2 grand through July again.

I'm moving to Moscow at the end of the summer, so that'll put me closer to the North Cascades goods.

Bull Lake could be worth getting laid off. Keep me posted on that.

Upper Yough releases are a summer savior. Always wanted to do the Savage. Deckers and the B are staples. Can't wait to be back there on those runs.
